1. Who We Are

David Ticketing ("we", "us", "our") operates a ticketing platform that enables promoters and artists to sell tickets to events. We process your personal data in connection with ticket purchases and related services.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity and contact: name, email address, and (optionally) phone number when you purchase tickets.
  • Transaction data: order details, ticket types, quantities, and payment information. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our systems.
  • Consent records: whether you accepted our privacy policy and terms, and whether you opted in to marketing communications, with timestamps.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Process and fulfil your ticket orders.
  • Send order confirmations and tickets.
  • Communicate about your orders (e.g. event updates, refunds) where necessary.
  • Send marketing communications (e.g. future shows) only where you have given consent.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

4. Who We Share Data With

We may share your data with:

  • Promoters and artists associated with the events you buy tickets for (e.g. name, email for event communications).
  • Stripe for payment processing (card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).
  • Email and infrastructure providers that help us send emails and run our platform (under strict data processing agreements).
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. Your Rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access – request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification – ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure – ask us to delete your personal data (subject to legal and contractual constraints).
  • Data portability – receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object – object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent – where we rely on consent (e.g. marketing), you may withdraw it at any time.

You can exercise these rights via our My Data page or by contacting us (see Contact Us below).

6. Marketing Communications

We only send marketing emails (e.g. about future shows) if you have opted in, for example at checkout. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every marketing email or via our unsubscribe page. You will still receive transactional emails about tickets you have purchased.

7. Data Retention

  • Orders and tickets: we retain order and ticket data for up to 7 years for legal, tax and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Marketing: we retain your marketing preferences until you unsubscribe; consent and unsubscribe events are logged for compliance.
  • After a data deletion request, we anonymise or delete data as described in our processes, subject to lawful retention needs.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide the service (e.g. session, checkout), remember your cookie preferences, and to improve the site. You can choose to accept only essential cookies or all cookies via our cookie banner. For more detail, see your browser settings and our cookie preference storage.
